Nudity
Burning Man is a clothing optional event. However, we decided early on that we did not want this to be a regarded as a porn site. Reluctantly, I edited the more "artistic" photographs to avoid upsetting the sensibilities of our less enlightened visitors. I say reluctantly because some of Flash's most magical photos contained full frontal nudity. All genitalia have been cropped out (ouch!) or edited out in some other creative way. You will find breasts in many of these photos, but we all know that breasts are for feeding babies, so that should not offend anyone. If you are offended or aroused by breasts then you should get counselling and leave this site immediately.
Oh! And don't assume anyone is naked because they are shown from the waist up. I like to keep you guessing. (But if it's me, there's not much doubt! -- Nekkid Jim)
Photos
The photographers were very careful about asking permission before taking photos or about restricting photography to public places. If you feel that your photo has been posted here without your permission, please contact , the site editor, and he will remove the photo immediately. If you don't like the way your photo is edited, Nekkid Jim is the fellow to contact about correcting it. If you want your photos to be included in this site, please send them to Nekkid Jim as well.
Flash,
from the waist up.Although several of the residents of Beastial Hump Camp contributed photos to this site, the bulk of them are by Flash, our official camp photographer. Many of his photos come very close to expressing the magic that is Burning Man, I only wish that there was room on the server to display them in their original form; they have been edited down to under 200k each in size. Most of them are 640x480 pixels or less, but there are some larger photos that I just couldn't bring myself to reduce in size. All photos are Copyright 2000 by the photographer. You are welcome to use the photos in a non-commercial fashion; otherwise, contact the photographer to obtain original high resolution photos and the rights to use them. Graphics
Because of the sheer volume of photos on this site, we avoided fancy graphics, music, java, shockwave, and their ilk and their kith and their kin. It is a simple "click the thumbnail" setup. The problem is that there are a LOT of thumbnails, so the individual pages may take some time to load. Be patient. Each thumbnail is under 2k in size, so you should be able to load them all in a reasonable amount of time.Nuts and Bolts
The HTML code for the web pages was generated from a Microsoft Access database designed by the site editor, Nekkid Jim. The database makes arranging, annotating, and indexing the photos a snap, so please send in your and we will include them post haste.
